Off The Record was founded in 1992 to meet the needs of young people by providing a high quality counselling service. Since then we’ve grown to incorporate training services and other projects targeted at young people. We believe that all young people have the right to accessible support and counselling, to help alleviate the burden of social, cultural and economic oppression.

We are striving to achieve this by maintaining an independent, confidential school based counselling service. As members of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy we follow their code of ethics and practice for counsellors. All our counsellors are trained and will treat young people as individuals; respect their opinions and not judge them.

In 2021, like many other charities we have faced difficulties in funding, for this reason, we now only provide ‘in school’ counselling provisions.

Are we in your school?? If you are unsure, please contact us, and we can help and advise you.
